"What have I gotten out of Pacific Dance Center?  The obvious answer is that I've learned basic dance steps and skills, but I've gotten much more than that and more than I ever would have imagined.

 

The social interaction with other students gives me the opportunity to know and develop friendships with others from all age groups and backgrounds in a safe environment.

 

For me, the greatest benefit has been knowing I can raise up and handle it when presented with the challenges I didn't think I was ready for.  The confidence I've gained at the studio has applied not only in my dancing (who would have ever though I'd be OK with dancing in front of others with all eyes on me?) but to all aspects of my life.

 

I'd like to thank the instructors at Pacific Dance Center for all they've done for me and I would definitely encourage anyone to give the studio a try."

"Ever since I started taking dance lessons here at Pacific Dance Center, my life has changed in many ways.  The least of which has been losing weight, feeling great and learning something new each time I have a lesson.  I love the technical aspect of the steps and patterns, and the passion, creativity and artistry of the dances themselves.  I learn a little something about myself each time too.  I said to my mom a while back that I feel like the 'old me,' which really, is the normal me; someone who is far more extroverted and fearless about a lot of things, and she readily agreed.  Learning to dance has thrown the lid off of the proverbial box I was in for a long time - I feel more grounded, and have more confidence in myself; not only to try new things, but to pursue my goals in other areas of life as well.  Not only that, but I have come to love this so much, I can't quite imagine not doing this.

I have met some wonderful people taking lessons here, and we all seem to enjoy each others company.  I also would like to commend the instructors at Pacific Dance Center. They are terrific people who have been nothing but courteous, supportive and professional.  The instructor I have been fortunate enough to work with is a joy; I appreciate his patience, support and wry sense of humor!  I am tremendously grateful for the value dancing has given me and owe a debt of gratitude to both my instructor and the other instructors for offering me and all the other students a fun and safe environment to learn. Thank you!

So for anyone who ever thought they'd like to learn to dance - do it! No matter what you want to get out of it, I'll bet you'll be glad you did!
